A true benchmark for outstanding performance throughout the UK computer industry, The UK IT Industry Awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months. And with over 1,300 guests in attendance, the awards brought together the industry’s leading players for the biggest night of the year.
Palletways (UK) was announced as the winner during the awards ceremony on 13th November 2013 after being shortlisted as finalists in the ‘Business IT Innovation of the Year’ category for its Project PASSPORT submission, which is a combination of the company’s hub scanning system and the Palletways Portal.
Business IT Innovation of the Year is a highly contended category and Palletways was up against a number of strong contenders including Virgin Media, British Telecom and Telefonica UK.
Thomas Olsson, Group IT Manager at Palletways (UK) Limited says, “We’ve had a number of successes over the years in relation to the transport industry, however this is Palletways’ first award purely for IT related projects in the UK.”
“eSpida has been instrumental in working with Palletways in creating this solution, so I strongly believe eSpida should share our success and also feel proud of such a marvellous achievement.”
Paul Hanson, Technical Director at eSpida comments, “I am delighted to hear of Palletways’ success and hugely appreciate the recognition attributed to the eSpida team for the pivotal work involved to help achieve the award. Congratulations to all involved.”
