Fujikura Europe, sales division of Fujikura, is a global technology leader providing a wide range of electronic and optical products for a diverse market around the world. Fujikura Europe has recently invested in Sage X3 with Sage Strategic Partner CPiO to support its offices based in Chessington, Surrey.
Fujikura’s name is synonymous with providing high quality Optical Cables, Fibres, Splicers and connectivity solutions to the telecoms market. Fujikura Europe had been using Sage Line 500 as its business system for a number of years and, due to a considerable growth in business over the last 10 years, Paul Rolph, Head of Shared Services began to review the software systems.
Paul explains, “We were looking for a more up to date ERP solution that would give us increased functionality, create efficiencies in processes and take advantage of new technologies such as CRM and iPad functionality for the sales staff; a tool to provide them with efficient management reporting.”
A project team led by Paul had considered an upgrade to Sage ERP 1000, but CPiO suggested a meeting with its Sage X3 Product Champion and a subsequent demonstration before embarking on a final decision.
During the demonstration, the team quickly identified the benefits and how easily they could access business critical data. As Paul explains, “The user friendly interface and depth of functionality is very impressive and the CRM capabilities within Sage X3 will not only manage our warranty and repair work information but meet our sales team’s requirements.”
Sage X3 will manage and integrate every aspect of Fujikura’s operation from customer order right through to invoicing and payment. Paul continues, “The automation of our processes will speed up response times and we will be able to provide an all-round better service to our customers, suppliers and the reporting to our Head Office in Japan. I know that Sage X3 has the scalability to grow with our business and I am looking forward to working with the CPiO team in the long term”.
