URB Bearings Distribution selects Sage 200, to achieve operational efficiency

URB Bearings Distribution UK Limited, part of URB Bearings Distribution Group, has been producing and marketing bearings and parts for the automobile and trailer industry for over 50 years.

The company specialises in global import, export, marketing and sales of bearings, trailer parts and allied products, under the internationally recognised URBbd brand. The business has expanded and diversified, working with partners in the trailer industry to become the leading “go to” brands for quality aftermarket trailer components across the UK and Europe, with distribution centres in the UK, Ireland, USA, South Africa and Middle east.

Raz Zilberstein, Chief Executive Officer at URB Bearings Distribution contacted CPiO as they needed a migration from their current accounting solution, Sage 50.

“We required a solution to streamline the inventory management process by reducing the need for multiple part numbers for the same item. We needed strong stock control and accuracy to improve visibility of goods in transit and enhance reporting capabilities for purchase orders and lead times. Moreover, we were experiencing difficulties in tracking commission. We knew it was time to replace Sage 50.”

Raz continues: “We will be using the Financial and Commercial modules for 10 desktop users. The biggest advantage will be the stock management for distribution of our products. Working in a more automated inventory management system will overall reduce manual entry and improve accuracy.”
