About NGD

NGD is the biggest data centre in Europe at 750,000 square feet within in a 50 acre campus. Its private connection to the power Super Grid via an onsite substation supported by highly resilient generators and UPS, has to date enabled NGD to deliver 100% uptime. No other European Data Centre has this kind of power.

So confident in its power supply resiliency, NGD performs a bi-annual ‘black building test’ whereby incoming power to the data hall is isolated to prove the critical infrastructure resilience.

There are many ways CPiO can provide network connectivity between your office and the Data Centre. Typically this falls into two categories; direct connection or via the Internet. We can propose a solution for Internet connectivity and infrastructure at your own site to ensure appropriate access to your hosted solution.

Any or all of these connectivity options are available to provide an end to end solution:

  • Broadband (ADSL, SDSL & Ethernet First Mile).
  • Fibre Leased line (Internet Facing or Site to Site).
  • Ethernet 10Mb+ (As above).
  • 3G/4G/High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) is an available option pending consultation

Alternatively, your existing solutions or those from other Internet Service providers can be used.

Our suite of anti-virus products offer protection for e-mail, web browsing and file storage, as well as Spyware and SPAM protection to ensure no contamination of the environment. We monitor the anti-virus software suppliers and keep the anti-virus signature files and software suite up to date.

The high specification hardware is built on Hyper-V in a failure cluster environment. Virtualisation increases IT agility allowing you access to the cloud at all times.

Access should be available anytime, anywhere from any device via the web by signing in to your provider’s client log in page.  This could be accessed simply via an icon on your desktop.

Technical support should be available to you online or by phone. You should also enquire about the average response and resolution times and if you’ll have direct access to knowledgeable engineers. CPiO doesn’t employ call loggers, you’re straight through to a technical consultant. And our experience of ERP and CRM gives you all round solution expertise.
