According to a new report published by The Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (GBCC), many local business leaders feel that they are on an upward trajectory as a result of lockdown restrictions easing. Revenue figures and profitability projections were up as well as recruitment as organisations begin to build back after the uncertainty of 2020. The quarterly review from the Chamber monitors the heartbeat of local business and reads positively with domestic demand soaring to a level not seen since pre-pandemic days and shows a steady climb in international sales.

As a local Birmingham-based Sage Business Partner, CPiO is also feeling the positive effects of increased confidence amongst businesses across the region. Andrew Watkinson, Managing Director comments, “Last year was an exceptional year for us all, but we have seen a real drive to pick up digital projects where they left off or even hasten more transformative technical projects as organisations grapple with new ways of reaching the consumer and challenging supply chains. Many of us realise the power of technology to increase agility and resiliency when things get tough. We have seen an increase in demand from customers to update their existing Sage solutions and even more encouragingly, an increase in demand for ERP solutions such as Sage X3 and Sage 200.”
