Duncan brings a powerful mix of technical expertise, business insight, and community leadership. His appointment marks an exciting step forward in CPiO’s mission to make data meaningful, manageable, and—dare we say it—even enjoyable to engage with.
A forward-thinking data and applications specialist, Duncan has deep experience across data analytics, ERP systems, and the Microsoft Power Platform. Known for translating complex information into clear, actionable insights, he connects technical solutions with real-world business impact. His expertise spans Power BI report design, DAX, and data modelling; SQL performance tuning; Power Platform integration (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse); and ERP analytics with Sage 200, Dynamics 365, and Infor Visual.
Throughout his career, Duncan has built a reputation for collaboration, process improvement, and Agile delivery, combining technical mastery with a practical understanding of business needs. His solutions have helped organisations improve efficiency, visibility, and strategic decision-making through scalable, intelligent reporting systems.
Before joining CPiO, Duncan held senior roles in data and application development, leading Power BI and ERP optimisation projects that delivered measurable value and smarter business outcomes. A certified Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals professional, he is also a passionate community leader. As co-founder and organiser of the Norfolk Power Platform User Group and the East of England Power Platform Summit, Duncan has been instrumental in connecting professionals, organising events, and sharing expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem. He is a frequent guest speaker at Power Platform user groups and conferences across the UK and has been nominated for the Microsoft MVP Award for his contributions to the Power BI and Power Platform community.
“Data should empower, not overwhelm,” said Duncan Boyne. “At CPiO, I’m looking forward to helping organisations see their data differently—transforming it from something technical into a clear story that supports better decisions every day.”
At CPiO, Duncan will focus on building clean data models, impactful dashboards, and integrated reporting frameworks. Whether connecting Power BI to ERP systems such as Sage 200, Sage X3 and Sage Intacct or developing bespoke dashboards that answer key business questions, he will ensure data works for people—not the other way around.
“We are thrilled to welcome Duncan to CPiO,” said Andrew Watkinson, Managing Director at CPiO. “His expertise in the Microsoft Power Platform, combined with his practical problem-solving skills and storytelling approach, will greatly enhance our data visualisation strategy. Duncan’s ability to turn complex data into actionable insights will deliver real value to our clients.”
