This is the question I get asked the most. The easiest way to look at it is who holds the tools during the setup phase. In a normal implementation, a CPiO consultant handles the vast majority of the heavy lifting. We come in, scopes are written, we manually configure every module for you, handle the data migration, and run bespoke on-site training. It's incredibly thorough and perfect for complex, large-scale businesses—but it takes longer and carries a higher price tag. With Self Start, you are in the driver's seat, but we are sitting right next to you as your co-pilot. We supply the pre-packaged setup, step-by-step tutorial pathways, and data migration tools. You follow our structured steps to do the implementation yourself, while we check your progress, host weekly live training, and jump in to support your testing and go-live. Is it really that easy? Yes, because we’ve broken it down week-by-week so you never feel lost.

Here is what those six weeks look like:

• Provisioning & Setup – We deploy your Sage 200 Standard environment so it’s ready to build on.
• Data Migration – We hand you the tools and step-by-step guidance to safely pull your records out of Sage 50.
• Live Training – You join our expert-led, live online sessions to learn how to operate the system.
• Testing & Support – We guide you through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to make sure everything works seamlessly.
• Go-Live Assistance – A CPiO consultant steps in to help you confidently press the "launch" button.
• Post implementation support – We review your system post-implementation to make sure you're set up for the long haul.

*Part of the process, step 1 will be a mandatory Health Check. This is a pre-engagement assessment which involves the CPiO expert team reviewing your data and current position to assess whether the Self Start programme is suitable for your business. Following the assessment, the findings will be shared with you. The Health Check is a mandatory pre-engagement assessment and is subject to a non-refundable fee of £495.

Step 2: On completion of the health check, you will be set a date for the 6-week onboarding package. This is priced at £2995, for a single-company implementation. Additional consultancy services, extended onboarding, or more complex implementation requirements, including multi-company deployments or data migrations, may incur further charges. Any such additional costs will be discussed and agreed with the Client prior to the commencement of the additional work. Software subscription and licensing fees are not included within the implementation fee and will be charged separately.
