Spring Budget Changes To National Insurance Rates - Sage Payroll

Spring Budget Changes To National Insurance Rates - Sage Payroll

The announcement from the Chancellor in the Spring Budget included a reduction of employee National Insurance (NI) from 10% to 8%, to take effect from 6 April 2024. Reduced Rate NI categories will also be reduced from 3.85% to 1.85%.

There were no other changes affecting Sage Payroll.

Sage is currently working on these changes, and you can continue to process any periods in the 2023/2024 tax year as normal.

Look out for messages in your software that keep you informed.

PLEASE NOTE: Sage will do all the updating for you. There is nothing you need to do yourself within your program. However, if you would like to discuss this further please contact CPiO Hotline Support on 0344 880 6155.
