Huntapac, a leading UK producer and distributor of root vegetables, has selected Sage Intacct to modernise its financial operations. This strategic move, guided by long-term Sage partner CPiO, will migrate Huntapac from its legacy Sage 1000 system to the cloud-based Sage Intacct.
For 80 years, this family-owned business has supplied fresh root vegetables to major supermarkets, independent retailers, wholesalers, food service providers, caterers, and food manufacturers nationwide. Recognising the limitations of its now end-of-life Sage 1000 system, Huntapac sought a modern, scalable solution to maintain its competitive edge and drive innovation.
Huntapac partnered with CPiO, its trusted Sage advisor, to navigate this critical transition. The company needed a solution that could streamline financial processes, enhance reporting across its diverse business streams - including production, farming and transport, and seamlessly integrate with its complex ecosystem of operational systems.
While considering alternatives like Sage 200, Huntapac leveraged CPiO’s expertise to evaluate its options. Sage Intacct emerged as the clear choice, offering superior reporting and dashboard capabilities, seamless integration with Yooz for automated purchase invoice processing, and an open API architecture for streamlined connectivity with specialised systems.
Huntapac's operations are supported by a range of systems, including Rubicon - a stock and invoice management system, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) for high-volume order and invoice processing with major retailers, and Yooz purchase order and invoice recognition software, among other tools. Seamless integration with their other primary systems Rubicon and Yooz was an essential requirement, and CPiO's ability to orchestrate these integrations and ensure a smooth transition was crucial to Huntapac's decision.
